Another call to erase Israel "off the map".
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has called on the world to come to terms with the demise of the "filthy" Jewish state. He addressed world nations, advising them to "abandon the filthy Zionist entity which has reached the end of the line."
Quote: "[Israel] has lost its reason to exist and will sooner or later fall. The ones who still support the criminal Zionists should know that the occupiers' days are numbered…Accept that the life of the Zionists will sooner or later come to an end."
Well, isn't it about time for the world to understand an inescapable fact: it is not that they would be after a new Palestinian state in the Middle-East, but after a Middle-East completely without a Jewish state. But those hot-headed zealots have forgotten one thing: "If those ordinances depart from before Me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before Me for ever" (Jer. 31:36).
The Bible has gone nowhere, and it is today, maybe clearer than ever, sounding a solemn warning of an impending judgment. When the Lord has returned and taken the Church to the Father's House, this world will face the most horrific period of its entire history. Like the ever increasing pain of the birth pangs, God's wrath will flow upon the wicked, when the seals, trumpets and vials emerge from within, telescopically.
Now somebody argues: "It might well be, that the Rapture happens only at the very end of the Tribulation". But let's make it straight: "If the Rapture is a "jo-jo" - first up in the air to meet the Lord and then quickly back to Earth with Him - tell me where do the God-believing Earth dwellers of the 1000 year reign come from?
No, the Lord is not a modern-day husband, who enjoys seeing his bride beaten. Forgive me of saying that - but the Truth is, that He will cleanse for Himself a Bride - cleansing us from all unrighteousness (1 Joh. 1:9), having compassion on us like that certain Samaritan (Luke 10:33), not like the thieves that brutally beat the man half dead.
Yes, the Lord came to heal; that other one came to steal. And kill. And he still has the license to deceive - and that he will. Man's total depravity - without Christ - becomes fully visible in that, that the very minute Satan is released from the bottomless pit, an attack of the wicked deceived by him emerges. And didn't these people just come out of the best possible environment - Christ's, the Prince of Peace, reign.
It might well be, that this Ahmadinejad will be amongst those kings of the Earth that one day will say "to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb" (Rev. 6:15-16). But do you hear a single shout of repentance there? No, they just want to hide - from the righteous wrath for the sins they have done.
John Blanchard wrote so well: "It is this horrific problem that God came to solve in the person of Jesus Christ — and in so doing he endured to the full the pain and suffering that sin causes. This has been powerfully expressed in these words, first written in the 1960s:
"At the end of time, billions of people were scattered on a great plain before God’s throne. Most shrank from the brilliant light before them. But some groups near the front talked heatedly — not with cringing shame but with belligerence. ‘Can God judge us?’
‘How can he know about suffering?’ snapped a pert young brunette. She ripped open a sleeve to reveal a tattooed number from a Nazi concentration camp. ‘We endured terror … beating … torture … death!’
In another group a black man lowered his collar. ‘What about this?’ he demanded, showing an ugly rope burn. ‘Lynched for no crime but being black!’
In another crowd, a pregnant schoolgirl with sullen eyes. ‘Why should I suffer?’ she murmured. ‘It wasn’t my fault.’ Far out across the plain were hundreds of such groups. Each had a complaint against God for the evil and suffering he had permitted in his world. How lucky God was to live in heaven where all was sweetness and light, where there was no weeping or fear, no hunger or hatred! What did God know of all that men had been forced to endure in this world? ‘For God leads a pretty sheltered life,’ they said.
So each of these groups sent forth their leader, chosen because he had suffered the most. A Jew, a black, a person from Hiroshima, a horribly disabled arthritic, a thalidomide child. In the centre of the plain they consulted with each other. At last they were ready to present their case. It was rather clever.
Before God could be qualified to be their Judge, he must endure what they had endured. Their verdict was that God should be sentenced to live on earth — as a man! Let him be born a Jew. Let the legitimacy of his birth be doubted. Give him a work so difficult that even his family will think him out of his mind when he tries to do it. Let him be betrayed by his closest friends. Let him face false charges, be tried by a prejudiced jury and convicted by a cowardly judge. Let him be tortured. At last, let him see what it means to be terribly alone. Then let him die in agony. Let him die so that there can be no doubt that he died. Let there be a whole host of witnesses to verify it.
As each leader announced the portion of his sentence, a loud murmur of approval went up from the throng of people assembled. When the last had finished pronouncing sentence there was a long silence. No one uttered another word. No one moved. For suddenly all knew that God had already served his sentence.""
Dear Reader, the message of the Cross is still the same; it hasn't changed a bit: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23). Amen.
